Having had a couple of months off concerts (Harriet got married and Keziah went back to the USA for a bit) we are now back with a vengence for a new series of concerts over the 2010/11 season!
Earlier this week we really enjoyed playing at the Brighton Pavilions in their beautiful music room. The music room is part of the Royal Pavilion built as a sea side retreat for the Prince Regent in the 19th Century. The famous blind harpist John Parry used to play here and apparently his harp was on show for a number of years before being moved back to London. The room is incredibly ornate with wonderful oriental wall carvings and vibrant carpets and walls. Our four harps looked amazing amidst the sumptious decor and it was really inspiring to be performing in such surroundings.
This coming week we are off to play for the Tenby Festival in Wales which we are really looking forward to - Wales is the land of the harp after all!
